Who is Farah?

Farah comes from the Arabic root word relating to joy; bringing joy to others has become part of her personal mantra. Farah’s family has been very influential in her pursuit of becoming an RD (Registered Dietitian).  She was blessed to have the unique opportunity to spend some of her childhood years in Kenya, seeing first hand how this African nation addresses nutrition. Now, as an RD in Orange County, Farah applies her unique personal values to her outlook, as well as her positive relationship with food.

Farah’s professional mission is for you to see food as pleasurable, nourishing and simple, not a source of anxiety, restriction, or punishment. Her mother instilled an intuitive eating approach in her as a child, emphasizing that you must be mindful of the foods you put into your body, but to also enjoy a little indulgence. This mindset shapes  her approach to nutrition and health counseling, whereby she emphasizes the principles of intuitive eating, and working to redefine your relationship with food and health.
